Update on the semester.

Finance continues to go well. I would have gotten a 100 on the homework assignment I turned in yesterday had I actually seen the second part of the first problem. Oops. :(

Administration...gah! We got our assignment for our final paper, which is to study the collapse of Allegheny Health System and write a case study on why they failed. "Tell the story" the professor said. When someone asked how long our paper should be, something that I think is a simple, reasonable question, the answer was "long enough to tell the story". When pressed further, the professor said "nothing 40 pages long or anything like that, I can't read that much from everyone." When pressed AGAIN, the professor finally said "no more than 10 or so pages." It shouldn't take three tries to answer a simple question.

I frequently leave this class wondering if I'm getting my degree in the right thing. However, I leave finance class all happy.

But while looking up articles on PubMed, I did find one interesting, yet totally unrelated article that I'd like to read: A Review of Nail Gun Suicides and an Atypical Case Report, Journal Forensic Science, 2003 Mar 48(2): 409-13).

Also, 88.5 on the finance mid-term. My teacher said I did "very well" and I'm told this is an excellent grade for a graduate-level exam.
